GHI nypd ins..

Anyone know if this is decent coverage for IUI, IVF? I have express scripts which covers injectables.

I have HIP thru NYPD and IUI didnt cost a cent. The injectable med wasn"t too bad, maybe $300, i cant really remember but not bad at all. IVF im not sure.

We have ghi through dsny so I will assume it is the same coverage

Iui were covered unlimited,at one point it was 12 needed to be done before they pay for ivf but I believe now it is 6

We did 8 before our doc wrote them on our behalf saying we needed ivf

They covered 75 percent of ivf,not ICSI bc we had no mf issue but they did ICSI anyway and that was 2k

We have express scrips too,I hate them, they have a limit on injectables, 3 per lifetime

After years of trying we used it quick and paid thousands over the years in meds

The trick is and I learned this after is say u need gonal, u can order 10 pens and it will count as 1 order and u have 3 in a lifetime

I did not know that so ordered one at a time and was done in 3 months

One other tip with respect to injectibles. If you've had three rounds of Cetrotide switch to Ganerilix and you will get three more rounds. I think it has worked for gonzo-f/ Follistism. Try to find the equivalent for an injectible once you get to three rounds.

I don't know any of those meds yet but will def keep you all posted depending on what they put me on. Ugh this is a scary road to be on! Alot is about to happen in the next few weeks!

Hi! Just wanted to add that under our prescription plan (through the SBA under GHI) our injectables were not covered at all. Not sure if you are under PBA or SBA, but that is something you should look into.

As for all the testing, just the copays for IUI, monitoring and blood work. We haven't done IVF.
