Anyone with GHI (FDNY or NYPD) - UPDATE

Have any luck getting Nutramigen covered ?

Just wanted to update for anyone who may need this info for the future.

After fighting with GHI for a month and getting the run around. it is, it isn't etc.

I finally found out It IS covered. under the prescription plan NOT medical...which explains why GHI is useless with this.

It is a New York State law that certain formulas be covered and this is one of them. My prescription plan is through caremark, it did not need a pre qual or anything. I have a 90 day supply being sent via mail order for $8 co pay.

I literally spoke to 20 people in 2 months fighting this. Do not take NO for an answer.

Did you try calling the health & welfare office?? I know with the NYPD you can call and talk to someone in the office.. TheT should cover it with a prescription, you may have to fill it through a mail order company.. hTH
