What did you have to buy for baby #2

We pretty much got everything we could ever need for DS (high chair, bouncer, exersaucer, jumperoo etc....) so we wont need to buy anything like that for DC#2 who we plan on being team green with, but I know there are some things we will need (besides diapers wipes etc)...

furniture
Possibly double stroller (DS will be 3)
new swaddle blankets
new crib mattress (since DSs will be toddler bed using his crib mattress)
monitor


just throw some ideas out to me, just trying to make a list. TIA

What did you have to buy for baby #2

we got new change pad, new crib sheets too, new blankets, some new waterproof bibs, new towels, new pack n play sheets, new rectal thermometer-vics, got a last year citi mini stroller and love it.

diapers wipes ointment baby wash binkys bottles nipples

My kids are 20 months apart.

I bought-

Another crib mattress

Sit and stand stroller- Joovy Caboose

A cheap double umbrella (really for Disney) I got the Dream on Me double for $70 on Amazon

New white onesies and new socks

More sheets since 2 beds to change now

More waterproof pads esp. bc ds started potty training soon after

Rock n play- never had it for ds1

New pacifiers- I actually kept the ones from ds1 but he had juuusst stopped using them and I wanted ds2's to be different looking so ds1 wouldn't think they were his.

new sheets/bedding - I actually ended up using the bedding for DD (crib skirt, fitted sheets, blanket)
new bottles/nipples/pacifiers
rectal thermometer
brush set
double stroller
car seat because I had given my son's away - I should have kept it.
tub (I got the Euro primo bath the second time and it was so much better than the one I had for DS)
pink wash cloths - I used the same towels. But the wash cloths were worn out.

What did you have to buy for baby #2

DS # 2 is due to arrive when DS # 1 is 22 months. We got another crib because DS # 1 is nowhere near ready for a big boy bed. New changing pads, new pacifiers, bottles, stocking up on newborn diapers & wipes. We are also getting another humidifier since DS still uses his nightly, another homedics sound spa- DS loves that thing, and some new bath towels and washcloths. We got DS's Britax Marathon brand new at my shower but the Graco Snugride was a hand me down from a friend. I may buy a new Snugride since I am pretty sure at this point the seat is 4-5 years old.

new furniture (boys still in cribs)
sheets
wall decals
tub
clothes and pjs (even though all boys, S was born at end of March so seasons were a little different)
coming home outfit
rock and play (didn't have this for the boys)
bottles
pacifiers
rattles
more hangers
new playmat

We wound up getting a lot more "stuff" for S. than I expected that we would.

DC 2 was our second girl so we did not need any new clothes at all
we got:

double stroller

crib mattress

room decorations - valances, frames, cool mist humidifier, sound machine, rug
rocking chair
new towels and face cloths
diapers
nipples (we used the same bottles)
aquaphor/triple paste/wipes/diapers/formula
changing pad and changing pad covers
pacifiers

double screen monitor

well #2 is opposite sex of #1 but we got

tons of clothes (obviously)
new boppy (i gave mine to my sister, didn't make it back)
also the boppy lounger
new crib
new bedding
new changing pad and cover
towels, wash cloths

muslin blankets
diapers
wipes
bottles (drops ins and liners)
diaper genie
hamper
garbage pail
carseat infant insert (no clue where ours went)
carseat cover
bottle brush
the "grass" bottle drying matt
bath and changing necessities (lotions, shampoo, vaseline, powder etc)

my mom and sister did throw a small sprinkle so many things were gifts

i still need to pick up
new bathtub with sling
formula

We got nothing new except:
Car seat (ours was recalled)

Bottles and nipples
Double stroller

We ended up getting an ergo. I didn't know about it when DS was a baby. The carrier is awesome!
