From what I understand, it loosens all mucus in the body including cervical mucus which helps the sperm travel. But it's the egg white consistency mucus you want and mucinex is supposed to help with that.

A few days prior to ovulation. I'm assuming 5 days, and then continue 2 day after ovulation.
If we're not successful this cycle, I'll be trying this method next cycle because I don't ever really notice a lot of mucus- especially not at the time I'm supposed to be ovulating. It could just be me not paying close attention though.

I have been taking Mucinex for a cold/sinus infection since Sunday. The bottle is almost empty and I feel good. However, I'm not suppose to be fertile until next Thursday. Should I get a new bottle or will I be okay once this bottle is finished??
