Come on in if you purchase expensive bras (NOT VS)
I need to know if they are worth it.
All of my bras are VS and while getting dressed this weekend, I realized that all of them have stretched out straps or bands & the quality is just crap all around. I don't know why I continue to go back to them.
I'm trying to justify spending alot on a bra. For me, expensive means $50-60 but I guess I would have to go higher if it was worth it.
What brands do you like? Where do you shop for them?

ITA. VS bra quality has gone way downhill these past few years. For the $$ I really expect them to hold up. They used to be great years ago.
Anyway I heard WaCoal bras are good. You can purchase them in any bra store and I know Century 21 and Marshalls, TJMax type stores carry them occasionally.

I am not plus size at all, but I do wear a 36DD bra, so I buy the balconette bras (Cacique line) from Lane Bryant. BEST.BRAS.EVER. if you have a large chest.

I went to Great Shapes & had the bra fitting lady help me. I bought a Le Mystere bra that I love. Now that I have worn it a bit, I am going to order more online.

highly agree!!! these are the only bras i buy. i'm a 38DDD.

highly agree!!! these are the only bras i buy. i'm a 38DDD.
40DD - Cacique is the best bra for me.
I stock up when there is a good sale.
I've tried other "expensive" bras, but the Cacique gives me the best support.
I even wore a strapless one for my wedding - bought it for $10 on clearance, the seamstress sewed it into my dress.

Ooo good to know. I wear the same size and I'm NEVER happy with my bras.

Ooo good to know. I wear the same size and I'm NEVER happy with my bras.
The have amazing support and "lift and separate" nicely, LOL

ETA: I have Wacoal. Very comfortable.

I like Le Mystere, Freya, and Fantasie. I wear a 32F, so these brands carry my size. I usually go to Georgette's in Hicksville, or Linda's in the city. Also, I have had good luck on ebay. IMO, good bras are worth the money.

Good bras are definitely worth the $$$. My favorites are Freya (Deco and deco plunge) and Chantelle. I would recommend going to a good lingerie shop.

I have a hard to find size (30G) and it's just easier for me to shop online. I found some great bras by Panache and Freya in Nordstrom and then ordered them online through herroom.com. Each one was $60 but they get rotated often and washed with delicates so they should last a long time.

Maybe I am getting fatter, and convincing myself the bras are getting smaller, lol.

I agree that VS has gone downhill..
however, they are still the only bras that fit me perfectly and give me a perfect lift - even more expensive bras I have bought just don't do anything for me. So I will stick to my VS bras until something better comes around.
