Re: Cheese

Most cheese in the US is fine to eat!! Especially if you buy it in a super market. Bleu cheese you buy in the store uses pasteurized milk... It's ok to eat. Just look on the label, and it almost always says pasteurized milk. Provolone is ok to eat as well, but if you are getting it from a deli, you just have to be aware of where they cut it. Bacteria can be transferred to the cheese from the machine KWIM?

Re: Cheese

Yes. Some people dont like to because some places but cheese on the same slicer as meat. The only ones you can't eat are unpasteurized. Most are pasteurized. Most feta is even ok. Like the supermarket brands. Just beware of some trader joes brands because they aren't all pasteurized. Same with some Italian restaurants.

This! Like PPs have said most anything you find in a regular grocery store is going to be pasteurized and fine to eat. I have eaten a ton of soft cheese throughout this pregnancy and just made sure I check the labels first!

Re: Cheese

Thanks everyone! The cheese wasn't from a deli so I didn't have to worry about the slicer. Hope everyone had a great day yesterday!
