Re: scared of labor
I'm scared at only 20 weeks! lol Millions of people do it daily, and even do it multiple times. one way or another the doctor will get that baby out!

Re: scared of labor
I just went through labor 2 weeks ago, and to be honest, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Sure, the contractions can be really, really, really painful at times, but as soon as I had the epi, it was manageable. I even slept for about 5 hours after it was administered. I ended up having an emergency c-section, so I can't speak to the experience of pushing. But I will say regardless of how you give birth, seeing your little one for the first time makes the pain of labor so insignificant.

scared of labor
I got to tell you, as soon as my water broke I was too excited to fear anything! Adreneline took over and I was pretty happy! I was so hyper in the beginning. Then as my labor progressed I just wanted it over with no matter what, but I honestly was nevery really scared. Perhaps you should try some breathing techniques and/or yoga to calm you down. Good luck!

I'm right behind you and will be 32 weeks on Monday... All along I have been told I was going to need a c-section and I was fine with that but because of where my monster fibroid ended up after my uterus did it's expanding they all of a sudden my doctor starting talking about vaginal delivery and I heard screetching break sounds in my head when the doctor said it. I was total ok with and prepared for a c-section... I am NOT at all prepared for a vaginal delivery and scared out of my mind... I am still hoping they let me do a c-section but if not I have been telling myself women do this every day... You're definitely not alone!!!!
You should be way more afraid of a c-section than a vaginal delivery. A c-section is major surgery. The recovery with a vaginal delivery is so much easier.
I second this. I had a C section and the recovery suuuuuuuuucks. Hoping to do a VBAC this time around, I reallllllly don't want another C section.
