Do your bedroom and bathroom match?

Our bathroom is almost done and it's gorgeous! Now I feel like the bedroom needs a makeover to match the niceness. Now the question is, should I coordinate the colors? The bathroom is grey and white with chrome accents. Our bedroom is currently an oatmeal, tan color on the walls. And the comforter is just bren on one side and tan on the other. It's very plain and neutral. I could easily just buy a new bedding set and that would refresh the room and be super easy, but brown and grey don't really mesh well. The other option, which I like better, but is A LOT more work, is to re-paint the bedroom a shade or two darker then the bathroom. In addition to new bedding, I woud also need a new carpet and accessories.
Do you think I should just get new bedding and call it a day? Or should I go all the way and revamp the entire bedroom?

For now, I would just refresh the bedding.

I assume the renovated bathroom is an adjoining master bath? Even so, I don't think the rooms need to match. I think ideally, the colors in the master bath and master bedroom would complement each other (at least not clash), but I don't think they need to be the same color or even different shades of the same color.

It's hard to tell without seeing the exact shades - - but tan and grey are both neutrals and I don't think they clash. If the tan is more of an oatmeal (which I think of as a cooler beige, like a greige), it probably goes well.

Maybe you can get bedding that ties the grey and tan together. Like a multicolored comforter or duvet that has shades of tan, grey, and even blues and greens to bridge the gap b/w the grey and tan (and introduce more color).

Then, when it's time to repaint and/or get new carpet down the road, you can always change it up, but a grey and white bath is so neutral that I wouldn't make major changes now if you can live with it as it is and try some different less drastic options (bedding, accessories) to make it all work!

Yes and no...technically our whole house "matches" everything is in warm tone shades and neutral tones even though everyroom is a different color. I like having "flow"

Thank goodness no!Chat Icon My bathroom is 1957 pink and blue tile!
When we do get around to redoing it I don't think I would do matchy matchy but I at least want it to look like it is in the same house.

Kind of, but thats how we bought the house and we lov e it. Our bedroom is a gray purple, white trim, and the tray ceiling is a much darker purple/brown. The bathroom is almost the same color as the tray ceiling ( but a little closer to eggplant), with cream and white trim.

Our master bath is carrera marble, white subway tile, a grey linen tile floor with white wainscoting and big white molding our vanities and mirror frames are dark wood. The walls are a light grey with a soft purple tone in certain light.
Our bedroom is painted a very light beige, we have a beige upholstered headboard and dark wood furniture with big white molding.
I love having the bedroom neutral so I can switch out bedding and decor seasonally. Right now I have a very traditional comforter on the bed it's blue and taupe paisley.
I'm obsessed with those command hooks so I switch out artwork too. Over the summer I was really loving orange so I had a plain beige lightweight quilt with orange/coral throw pillows and art.
They don't match as far paint colors go but they dont clash and the wood tones are the same and the style is the same.

Yes, our match, but we just re-did them when we moved into our house earlier this year. Our master bath is shades of greys, black and white, with seaglass accents. Our bedroom is also shades of greys, with black and teal accents.
