Would you or have you ever vacationed alone?

I have traveled all over the place alone, Europe, China, Japan and all over the US but it has been for work. Whenever I went to a new place I would be sure I got at least a whole day to myself. I would have loved to have DH with me but I make the most of it alone. I do ok but I look forward to vacations with DH. We have the best time together.

My sister is famous for doing this! She spent last Thanksgiving in Spain by herself. This Thanksgiving, she went away to a weight loss camp for a week (Does that count?) When she was 22, she was all set to go to Israel. My mom kept getting on her case not to go alone. As she started to put her luggage near the door, she turned to me (I was 8 at the time) and said, "Do you wanna see where Jesus was born?" My mother but felt that my sister would be better off if she had me with her (maybe she would look less approachable? I don't know) We flew free because my dad worked for TWA so it was easy to just hop on as long as there were seats. Anyway, I digress, I would be tempted to go alone but I think it would have to be a place my husband has already been to so he wouldn't get too jealous.

I never have, but I have travelled alone for business ad extended them a little to explore on my own.

I would go on a cruise alone.(But my DH loves them & I love travellign with him, so I don't see that happening.) I wouldn't feel completley alone, and I know I wouldn't really be stranded anywhere or get lost and I wouldn't be wanderign around alone at night.

I would probably only book cruise line excursions, so I woudln't have to worry about getting back to the boat myself.

In grad school I did a six week program abroad with a different school- so I didn't know anyone. I made a few buddies but it was a weird time in my life (I was on the verge of ending a long relationship) and I mostly toured and dined alone. It was really good though- and when I came back to the states I made huge positive changes in my life. As a married person, no I can't see doing it maybe outside of an overnight spa type deal.

Yes. I've traveled extensively on business alone. I'm also considering go to India for 6 weeks to do yoga teacher training in 2014
