Both. They serve different purposes. I couldn't live without the swing. Both boys loved it. The bouncer was useful with DS1 although he didn't care for it. DS2 likes it a lot and will even occasionally fall asleep in it.

Both but keep the receipts if you can. They do serve different purposes and are very handy if your baby likes them but each baby is different. My first was completely obsessed with the swing. It was a lifesaver. She wasn't very into the bouncer but we used it a little and it was helpful. My second wanted nothing to do with either one.

I got the mammaroo just because i figured does pretty much both and it takes up less space!

we had both and never used the bouncer but the swing was a MUST for us!

AS a BTDT mom I loved them both and DS woud fall asleep in both. DS had colic and often they both could be a place that would soothe him for awhile. I also loved that I could travel with the bouncer when we visited family.

Thanks! So I will get a swing! If I put the baby in the bouncer and he/she doesn't like it very much can it be returned as long as I have the receipt? Do I need to wash any of the cushions in the swing/bouncer before putting the baby in it?
