homeowners - how much is your lipa bill each cycle?
Ours is actually really low since I'm cheap on electric and really try to conserve. I always keep the lights off when we're home watching tv, not in a room, I don't run the ac unless I absolutely have to, etc. Its usually anywhere from $90-$100. Very rarely do we break $100, so I think we are doing pretty well. Our home is around 1800 sq ft.

Balanced Bill is $99/month, which seems pretty low given the other posters' numbers! We have a 5 bdrm, CAC with oil heat and a gas dryer. We both work outside the home all day so I think that must have something to do with it.

Re: homeowners - how much is your lipa bill each cycle?
It was $160 balanced most of the year, and then in Oct. it was $190, November was $360, and December just paid $362. Our electric use SKYROCKETED this year since someone is home pretty much 24/7 with DD, and my MIL ran the AC on the least efficient settings possible (despite my setting it every morning when she came to watch DD) but what am I gonna do. The year before, which I guess is what they estimated our balanced billing for this year based on, we didn't have a child so there were many days that no one was home for 12+ hours.
ETA we have a traditional unexpanded cape w/ finished basement, gas heat and stove

We have been paying $400+ per cycle
My house is 3500 square feet. I dont have high ceilings.
My bill, during the summer is $600+
During the cooler months I have been averaging about $250/$300.
No one is home for about 8 hours a day.
I just went on balanced billing for $360 a month.
Be sure to check your bill. MOst of the time they ESTIMATE your usage. They only read the meter about every 2 months. I make sure to call them with a meter reading. Because of this, my bill just reduced from $1000 to $450.
It all clears up in the end. They will "credit" you if you pay too much during the estimated months.
But I don't let it go. I now call in my meter reading for an accurate bill.

We average about $90/month, no balanced billing. We have a 4 BR cape, we don't use the upstairs right now, but we do have a half finished basement and I work from home 3 days/week so the computer is on all the time. We use wall AC units in summer depending on the temperature.

This is me. In august we got a $1,200 electric bill. Almost.died. We have about 4,000 sq ft and a pool.
I keep telling my husband to go on balanced billing!
