Have a haunting feeling that the back to back IUIs didn't work.
I am currently taking Estrogen to help thicken my lining (It was only at 5 1 day before IUI) Dr. said I have to take it til I get BFP or my period.
For anyone who has had to take this, does it make your nipples feel like razor blades??? I mean, I have to avoid them in the shower, even my bra hurts. Does it pass or will it continue until I'm done taking them?

OK, having an estrogen of 5 doesn't make sense. Are you sure you mean estrogen or progesterone?

i think she means her lining was only 5.
to the OP: i would guess that any increase in hormones can make your boobs hurt.

Don't count yourself out just yet!!!! Estrogen can make your boobs hurt like crazy!!! I wish you lots of luck this cycle!!

yea.. my lining was 5 and the estrogen is 2mg 2x a day orally.
I've been googling it and keep getting "if you are taking estrogen & progesterone, ect etc etc. But that's not the case. It's just the estrogen.

OHHHHHHH, must have read it too fast!!! Well, the thing is, you never know what happens on a natural cycle when women get pregnant. No one monitors that. I have seen women with lining of 6 go on and have perfectly fine 9 months. See estrogen never made my boobs hurt, progesterone did. Interesting. Wish you lots of luck.

both estrogen and progesterone can produce similar side effects. prior to ovulation when estrogen is at its highest my nips sometimes get sore. symptoms dont mean anything - you are as much in as you are out!! good luck!

yea I am over looking into symptoms. It has gotten me nowhere but crazy. I just couldn't find a definite answer online about sore nipples and taking estrogen.
It's so bad I am going to have to wear an old loose sports bra and sweatshirt to work tonight! I don't know how I am going to survive my Zumba class tomorrow morning!
Either way I have about 4 or 5 more days of taking these pills. I just wish there was something I can do to sooth my boobs, especially my nipples. This is torture!!!!
