False BFN

I know I am new here but just wanted your take on my BFN yesterday. I was 13 DPO and due for my period yesterday or today. I was drinking water all day and went to bathroom before I left work. Stopped and got test on way home just to see. (I swore to myself I would wait till morning but I couldn't). Clearly I got a BFN. It had only been about an 1 1/2 since I had gone to the bathroom. Could that be a false neg and a totally pointless waste of testing?? Hope so!

I think if urine is diluted enough you could definitely get a false BFN. Best thing to do is FMU but like my ob/gyn told me...you SHOULD have a BFP any time of day when you're officially late. You never know though. With my sons I didn't get my BFP till 13dpo and with my last (that ended up being ectopic) i got my BFP at 16dpo (but I believe that had to do with such low levels of hormone being emitted). i'm currently pregnant and got a BFP at 9dpo. It can be all over the place based on ovulation day, implantation day etc...test again with FMU and good luck to you!!
