Dear reflux...

I hate you more than you could ever imagine. Thank you for keeping me up for the past two nights so I've gotten less than an hour of sleep combined. And I'm so glad you're starting early tonight. There is nothing I'd rather do than dry heave while feeding my dd dinner. Oh and thanks for also backing up into my nose. It was beginning to feel left out.
Sincerely,
6 weeks 6 days to go til my son is born with a mohawk

Dear reflux...

Me too. It's like I swallowed a jar of icy hot. I can't think of any other way to explain it. It's only getting worse, and unfortunately I can't take the prescription I was on prior to getting bfp. My doctor also said no to the tums. Boo.

Ugh that's awful...I've only had it since 30 weeks, but it's been getting worse. I know the hair thing is an old wives tale but on my last sonogram, we were able to see his spikey hair! I have had a dlfew dreams about him and in every dream, he has a blonde mohawk Chat Icon

my doctor said Tums are fine, too. I can't take them though. Last time I had a stomach virus (didn't know It was that at the time) I took sums and vomitted. Now I associate Tums with throwing up. I actually had whole milk with a Carnation Instant breakfast mixed in and it helped. Killed me because I am lactose intolerant, but helped the reflux.

No worries. Tums is on all of my friends safe lists too. My doctor is personally anti tums. She told me shed rather me take. Pepcid. That doesn't work for me.

Time did nothing for me, the pepcid works, but only if I take it routinely, not if I wait for the reflux to start. By then its too late.

Re: Dear reflux...

Tums didn't help nor did zantac for that throwing up in your mouth feeling. I have a hiatal hernia so they gave me nexium which has been a godsend. If I don't take it at 4 pm every day the next 24 hours are pretty nasty.

I would say try ice chips. The cold helped a lot for me.

Ohh gotcha! I hate when that happens! There are so many things I used to love, that I can no longer eat, bc they remind me of morning sickness

The incident actually occurred before I was pregnant. It involved vodka and a whole lotta dominos pizza haha
