Had my baby girl
DD was born 11/18- 2 days late. This delivery was completely different than my first. With DS I was in labor for 28 hours- with DD I did not have a chance for an epidural. I started having contractions on Friday night- went to the hospital and was 3cm dialated. I was told to walk for three hours in the hospital lobby. Contractions kept coming and it was painful- go back upstairs and the contractions stopped and still 3cm no progress. I was sent home. Spent the entire day Saturday feeling off, but no signs of labor. Go to bed and started having intense pains every 5 mins then every 10 mins. All of the sudden my water broke. We took DS to my inlaws and the contractions went from every 10 to every 5 mins. They were strong, and right outside of the LIJ they went to every 3 mins. Go to labor and delievery they were so intense and lasted about 2 mins each I was rushed into delievery room. I kept asking for the epi, but was told that I passed that point. I tested positive for the strep test, and had no time for the dose of antibiotic- the nurse crushed the bag to get at least one round of iv in me. My arm was on fire. I am not going to lie delievery with no epi was painful, and I cried not having a chance to get it. But there was nothing I could do at that point. 20mins of pushing- my little Alessia- 8lbs 5ozs was born on Sunday morning- 11/18.
Life with two kids has been tough and challenging. DS has some jealousy issues, and is looking for attention. I love my little angels and wish you all easy pregnancies and deliveries.

Gorgeous baby, congratulations! I'm sorry you didn't get to have an epi, I'm sure that was scary but at least you can say you experienced drug free child birth! That is quite an accomplishment and not something most women can say. I hoped to go drug free last time but I turned out to not be as tough as I thought lol!

Congratulations!! .. she is adorable.. what a crazy labor story ... that is scary to be denied an epidural you must have been scared shit! I tried not to get an epi with DS and thank goodness at the last minute I changed my mind and was still able to get it.
