looking at houses
just makes me sad, i feel like we will never own our own. No matter how much i say its great to rent and not have to worry about the little things about a house and what could break and what not, i still i want my own, and i feel like i will never have that. Just in a funk i guess

Re: looking at houses
Sorry you are feeling down!
May I ask why you feel that home ownership is not a possibility for you? Is it a financial issue? If so, have you consulted with a reputable mortgage professional or a real estate agent?
I have many clients who didn't think they could afford to buy a home, or be able to afford as much as they think they can. But some were suprised that they could, and others were surprised by the easy fixes (e.g., credit repair) that enabled them to qualify for home ownership in a matter of months. Even if it would be a longer process for you, if home ownership is the ultimate goal, it would definitely make sense to consult with some real estate professionals who can guide you and help you develop a plan of action. If you haven't done this already, maybe being proactive about it will help you feel more upbeat about your situation.
Feel free to contact me any time (at (516) 587-7618 or [email protected]) with questions or to set up a buyer's consultation (which is complimentary and there's no obligation... counseling people on their potential real estate needs is what I do). I am a full time real estate agent with a legal background (I am also a licensed attorney), and I work with a great team of other professionals (mortgage lenders, real estate attorneys, credit repair services, etc.) that I can refer you to as needed.

Have you considered an FHA loan? The down payment required is lower than a traditional mortgage.
