Booster Carseat
If you registered for one which one did you choose?
In the Baby Bargains book the Graco Turbobooster and the Britax Parkway both got good reviews... car seats are my kryptonite it takes me forever to pick them out!!
ETA: OK since everyone is saying not to register for one yet I need more registry ideas! People are complaining to my mom all of the "good stuff" is gone I have no idea what else to add. Space isn't an issue, we have a lot of room in our house and this is our first so I will take any and all suggestions. TIA!!

Re: Booster Carseat
I would not register for a booster carseat right now, but you should register for a convertible carseat. My DS is 4 and still in the Britax Boulevard carseat. I don't plan on him being in a booster for a while. If you were to register for booster, it will be long time to store it, then use it. By that time, the date might expire on it.

Re: Booster Carseat
I'd hold off on registering for the booster seat. We registered for our infant seat and the convertible, but actually returned the convertible. They are HUGE and we don't have much space to store it. Plus, when we actually need the convertible - a year or more from now, there will be newer models out, possibly with more safety features. I'd use the same reasoning for the booster seat since it's so far from you actually having to use it.

I agree. You won't need a booster til age 4 at the earliest and it would be silly to have it it around that long before ever using it.

I registered for an infant carseat, the extra base and 2 convertibles. The infant seat, extra base and one of the convertibles were already purchased and my mom said people are starting to complain to her that there isn't a lot left on the registries. Since storage isn't an issue I figured the boosters are something we will use eventually and made more sense than adding a bunch of stuff I really don't need/want.
How often do they expire?

Some are 4 years after manufacture some are 5 or 6. What convertible seats did you register for? My evenflo symphony convertible seat expires after 7/8 years (I forget right now) and is a rear facing, forward facing, high back belt positioning booster up to 100 pounds.
People will always find things to complain about!! Do you have safety gates, booster seats (for after the high chair), some bigger toys? Just trying to think about other things you could add instead.
Eta: if you want to FM me your registry info I'd be happy to look and see if i can come up with any other ideas.

Are people complaining that there aren't enough expensive items on your registry? Why not add more clothing and toys? You can add larger size clothing and toddler toys. Other ideas - baby carrier, pack 'n' play, swing, bouncer, umbrella stroller. I just can't imagine running out of things to register for!

Gina, I got your FM and checked out the registries. There is more then enough left on there for people to buy!! If they have a $$ amount they want to spend, they can buy multiple things that add up to the amount. Honestly I think you did an amazing job covering everything you might need!!!
The only thing I would suggest (as a side to all of this) are sleep sacks. They are a wearable blanket and IMO are great!! My DS is 25 months and I still put one on him that has feet holes.
