How long after going off bcp did you menstruate..
How long after going off oral contraceptives did you get your first period? TIA

The first month off bcp I had a perfectly regular 28 day cycle. My second cycle was unusually long, like 60+ days. And I think it took a few cycles after that before it regulated to what I was used to before bcp's.

I was on a low dose and I pretty much regulated immediately. I think it depends in your body and the type of BCP's.

I went off the BCP in January and it took 48 days for me to get my period...it slowly tapered down to 30 days back in September and now I am pregnant! It is different for everyone, but going off the pill was extremely tough on my body...I broke out like crazy and my hair became so greasy on a daily basis that I almost went back on the pill because I couldn't take it. 50 days and counting for me...Went off BCP on Oct 5 got my period as usual on Oct 9. I never had regular periods before bcp. My MD thinks I have PCOS, I'm going for additional testing this week.

This was me too. If I remember correctly, it was about 2 yrs ago, I got my period a few days b/f I normally got it on BCP. Just an FYI, even though I regulated right away, I still had a MC and then it took 6 months to get my BFP. So a period regulating right away doesn't automatically mean a quick BFP.
