Should I worry?

I have been TTC for a few months now and I just read a positive pregnancy test.

I got my hair dyed yesterday and I have been heavy on the lattes this month.

I also took over the counter meds,

Should I be concerned??Chat Icon

Thanks

Should I worry?

First -- CONGRATS!
Second -- You're probably fine. You don't share a blood connection with the baby until 6 weeks. I got really drunk while I was pregnant (obviously I didn't know yet) and got my BFP a week later. I wasn't concerned. Plus, as a pp said, there is no proof hair dye is bad -- lots of people still dye their hair while pregnant!

Re: Should I worry?

No harm done. I got drunk twice and did x-rays and didn't even know I was pregnant. Doctor told me it was too early to cause any harm.

Should I worry?

Congratulations!!! And you are fine. I got pregnant while we were in Europe where I ate tons of what I am sure was unpasteurized cheese, drank wine like a fish and then walked through those full body scanners for the flight home. Upon coming home I had brunch with a girl friend and downed two mimosas, and then went out for another friends birthday the following weekend and had a few beers. It was one of the first things I asked the doctor and she said since we don't share blood until around 8 weeks there was no need to worry. Also like a pp said, there is no proof hair dye is bad just refrain from doing it again until you're in the 2nd trimester.

GL!!!

Re: Should I worry?

My doctor told me - if things you did before you found out you were pregnant affected the pregnancy, there would be no human race.

It helped me put it in perspective. She said the only things on the "No" list for pregnancy that can cause harm that early on are club drugs like ectasy, etc.

My baby had some shots of tequila - oops! My friend said "At least you hit up last call at the bar!" another good quote Chat Icon

As long as you stop now, nothing to worry about.

Congratulations! Happy and healthy 9 months to you.
