Tree waste removal (Sandy)
We just finished cutting our down trees and put them out on the curb, how do I know if the town will still pick it up?...this is town of islip. (I've seen them twice in our area picking up already).

Tree waste removal (Sandy)
Im in brookhaven, and we have blocks and blocks of houses with freaking forrests in front of them. I think it will take some time. Like next year time. I havent seen one truck out. I would honestly be surprised if it happened before the end of the year.

I'm in Brookhaven, too, and they came down our block the middle of last week.
Then we went to the Ecology site and saw they had turned half the parking lot into a gigantic brush pile -- it's going to take a long time for them to get to everyone

I know some towns do not take this kind of waste b/c if it wasnt a town tree, it needs to meet codes for waste removal (bundled, not larger or heavier than a certain size, etc). So I am not sure what is going to happen.

Brookhaven is picking up, but haven't seen them in my neighborhood. I saw that they are putting the brush and trees in the lot of a town park off Boyle.

Also you can try calling a local firewood seller. They may be willing to pick it up for free. That's what we did.
