Need major hair coloring help!!!

So, a week before my son's christening, I decided to try something new and dye my hair red. I have dyed it red many times, but I went to this new salon I now go to and the guy never dyed my hair b4 so he didn't know exactly what I want.

Well, my hair in the sun is a bright red. I'm not crazy about it at all. Is there anything at all that I can do to tone down the red, or at this point should I just hope that it fades on it's own????

The salon should be able to do something to tone it down. I know there is a color correct shampoo but I would never do that on my own!
