DD sits in the infant tub inside the bathtub and loves it. I wait to wet and wash her hair until we're just about done. I wet her hair with my hand, shampoo, and then rinse by pouring the water over her head (using my hand to block her face as best I can). I do it a few times quickly since she doesn't like it and then take her out so I can dry her face.

Can they sit up? I started at 6 months with DS in a bath ring. HE is now almost 8 months and from 6 months on I am using the bathring.

This is exactly what i do too, I use a large plastic cup to "rinse" , when I bathe her at my folks I use the handle nozzle spray thingee.. (cant think of what its called) bc the water pressure is low at their house.. at our house it would be too forceful thats why I use the cup.

I have a bath seat that he sits up in. I find it so much easier than having him sit up in the infant tub. I wash his hair last , doing exactly what PP mentioned (rinse cup)

I used the infant/toddler tub till they were 1, but they are little. I still use it for a quick bath now at 14 months. I am fortunate that the tub sits nicely in the kitchen sink. I would use the spray nozzle to rinse their heads.
Now they both go in the tub together.

I use one of the inflatable tubs in the regular tub. he was sitting up by 6 months, so we got rid of the infant tub and went to the inflatable tub.

Re: How do/did you bathe your 6mth old?

I think at that point I moved her to that blow up infant tub in our bath. It was around 6/7 months because she was too big for the infant tub. If he can sit on his own, I'd make the move to that inflatable tub or bath seat. She was very difficult too bathe at a point (sometimes still is!) She wiggled a lot. It was tough and I tried to just make it as quick as possible. Also, gave her some toys to distract her.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll be moving him to the inflatable tub. He isnt very wiggly but he can def. sit on his own. He absolutely hates his baths now! He use to love them Chat Icon
