Quick testing question

I am on cd 19 and not sure if I am having a 28 day cycle or a 23 day cycle. I got two smiley faces this month, I called the opk company & they said to go with the first smiley . I got the first smiley on cd 8.

I tested today and got a negative on a preg test-today is cd 19 - 10 days past ovulation. Am I too early? Ugh.. Getting really down in the dumps about things :(

Good luck to all!! Chat Icon

Yes that could def be too early. With DS I didn't get a bfp till the day af was due. Even then the line was light. You are not out yet! GL

i wouldnt test at all until you are due for AF based on the second smiley. if you got a smiley twice, several days apart, chances are good that you never ovulated the first time. i def wouldnt listen to the OPK company, it sort of sounds like they had no idea what they were talking about. you should temp to determine that you are actually ovulating because barring PCOS, it is somewhat abnormal to get a smiley twice in a cycle if several days have gone by in between. good luck!

Thanks for your reply... I am really confused/concerned.. I've had a history of losses over the past year and am seeing an RE.. I had uterine surgery in Aug. and have been on thyroid medication since then.. I've been using OPK's for a while and this was the first time I've gotten smiley's twice in one month? Is this something I should be concerned about? I am debating if I should call the DR. Also, I had a big work-up done, do you think they would have caught if I have PCOS?

Thanks again.. sorry for all the questions!! Chat Icon
