Medication
Just got a call from the nurse and they altered my meds. Instead of 225iu of gonal f and 1 menopur (which is what I've been taking the last 4 nights) to 150 of gonal f and no menopur and I have to go back tomorrow. Why the sudden change in meds? I am not on anything for suppression yet will eventually start cetrotide. Confused and hope I'm not ovulating.

your e2 is probably elevated. it doesnt mean your ovulating, just that your follicles are growing. the goal in IVF is to get a good amount of eggs to grow as evenly as possible. in a regular, nonmedicated cycle, one follicle grows larger than the rest and only one matures and ovulates while the rest die off. the meds in this case are keeping all of the follicles growing without having one that is significantly more dominant than the others. as the follicles grow you wont need quite as much FSH (gonal and part of menopur), and as the follicles grow larger you wont need any LH (other part of menopur). try to trust your doctors, they wouldn't do anything that would hurt the cycle and hopefully they will keep you informed as to what and why. good luck!

Definitely E2 levels. Happened to me both cycles. Be thankful they are being diligent to try to avoid OHSS.
