When do you get a growth sonogram?

My last official sonogram was at 20 weeks. I'm now 34 weeks, and my doc hasn't said anything about a growth sono or any other tests from now through labor. Am I really done with everything until she comes out? I can't seem to find any information online about 3rd tri milestones.

I'm actually scheduled for mine tomorrow at 34wk5days and as far as I know, this is the last one I'll have. They told me and scheduled me for it weeks ago. You should definitely ask next time you go.

im sure im different bc its twins but i thought they did them even in singleton pregnancies.
mine started around 26 weeks, at the age of viability.

They usually do one at around 34 weeks to see baby's position, weight and water level. You should ask on your next appointment.

When I went for my 20 week scan they scheduled me for a 33 week growth sono. But I have a few friends that never had a growth sono so speak with your doctor

My last sonogram was around 19 weeks and havent had another. I do not get a growth sonogram; my Dr said it is not necessary unless he feels that there is a need and there hasnt been any concerns!

I dont think many docs do them unless there is a reason to. My last one with the last pregnancy was 20 weeks.

Actually i got 1 at 24 weeks to chec kthe placenta location. LOL

I get them frequently so they can continue to check the placenta. So starting at 20 weeks I started going every four weeks. Then I'll get biweekly sonos at 32 weeks and then weekly at 36 weeks. When I have a second child I'll be going crazy because I am sure I won't get to see baby #2 as often as this trouble maker.

Like a pp said, I think they only do them often when there is a reason. Baby G is obviously an exemplary patient

If I had a "normal" pregnancy, my 20w appt would have been my last sono. But because I have fibroids, they cannot measure the baby properly externally so I have monthly growth sonos beeginning at 24w.

I'd ask your dr since everyone is different.

I had my last sonogram yesterday at 31w1d. If the baby was breeched I would have another one at 36 weeks.

I asked Last night at my appt and she said around 35, 36 weeks!

I had mine at 32 weeks (confirmed baby was head down and checked growth and amniotic fluid levels); everything was fine but she said that she'd see me again at 37 weeks if I didn't have the baby by then. So I just scheduled that one too-can't wait, it's in 2 weeks!

I'd mention it to your doctor. I'm sure they want to check the baby's position and also the amniotic levels and growth b/c if either are off, they may discuss other options rather than waiting for labor to come on its own naturally.

I went tonight and the doctor said I'd have a growth sono at 36 weeks. The last one I had was at 20 weeks and I miss seeing him so much!!!
