Oy, this was my issue. My mother basically insisted I get on, I was going to make one that I saw on pinterest. I did find one on Rosenberry Rooms. It's cute, robots. Our nursery has no theme, just items that go together. What do you like? What do you hate?

I couldn't find one I liked for the twins. Everyone told me I didn't need one so I skipped it. Didn't miss it at all.
They had the lamb sound machine in their crib when they were really little and then the other crib toy once they got a little older.

well this is my first and not yet here but i got one and think its totally not worth the 50 bucks. we got a nursery music and picture projector and its awesome and i think it was like 30 or less.

Definitely didn't use the one that came with the nursery set. We bought the Fisher Price one with the projector with it too. It was a nice but my DD didn't really love it. Some kids like the music or the projector but it is definitely not a necessity. As she got older, I found it was more of a distraction and would keep her awake, listening to the music or watching the mobile/projector.

i never used mine that came with the crib bedding set but i DID use the fischer price projecter thing that played music it projected birds on the ceiling and also had birds that went around in a circle inside of a plastic dome thing, similar to the monkey thing posted. Def get one of those instead

We have the tiny love mobile it always calmed DD down when she was fussy, for me a Must Have! She still loves it at 7 months.

I am going crazy looking for one. I found one on Pinterest (the whale one) and it turns out it links to an Etsy shop that is no longer in existence. SOOOO I spent a good three weeks tracking this woman down, finally got in touch with her and she said she could PROBABLY get it done before February. I wrote her back asking about a price about 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard back  So DH finds another woman who can make the damned thing and wants $200 to do it!! I just can't see spending that on a mobile.
So that's my little mobile rant and now I'm just considering not getting one. How much entertainment does it really provide??

prob no right or wrong answer bc some kids will love it and some will hate it no matter what
we got for each crib and a sound thing for each crib bc we figure we will need all we can get if they r screaming 
if u cannot find one u love i would not just buy one..ours was in a set

Same here. It was a lifesaver for many months. We didn't take it down, and it 17 months DD still likes to play with it - she loves turning it on and off!

Loooooooved my mobile. We got one by Tiny Love and let me tell you, that thing was the BEST thing we bought. It kept my DD occupied forever. She loooooved it!!! Worth every penny for us.
ETA - don't waste $$$ on those silly ones that match the bedding sets. They are awful. The Tiny Love ones have bright lights, music, motion, and can be set on timers. They are great!!

I didn't have one for either of my kids. I did have the light up seahorse that played music though. Both kids would pass out when I put that on at night.

Its definitely not a necesity. I registered for one, if not I probably wpuld have spent the money on something else, like that Twilight Turtle.
My DS loved his, but I had to take it down after about 4 months because he would yank down on the toys and I was scared he would rip it off and either hurt himself and/or scratch up the crib.
