side effects of going OFF the pill?
Hi all. I've gone off the pill at the beginning of the month and have been experiencing severe anxiety on and off this past week. I'm due to get AF next Friday so if I ovulated this month that time has already passed.
Anyone else experience side effects of going off the pill?
TIA **Don't quote please **

Personally, I did not have any side effects when going off the pill.

I don't remember any side effects after getting off the pill. Perhaps you are worry about TTC? I suggest going to the doctor and explaining how you feel! Feel better

Re: side effects of going OFF the pill?
The only side effect I have been experiencing is moodiness (which I am guessing is because of all the different hormone levels changing). I seem to be getting angry/aggitated at the littlest things for the past week. I went off the pill around the same time as you.

Re: side effects of going OFF the pill?
By going off the pill you will remove the chemicals that were keeping your hormones more level. If you're experiencing anxiety, it more than likely has nothing to do with going off the pill itself. I agree with the PP it probably has something to do with TTC. Why don't you take a few months break to give your body a chance to regulate itself. And if you're still experiencing anxiety, consider talking to your pcp. Feel better!

The only side effect I had was heavier periods and trying to get regulated. You may be stressing yourself out with TTC. I hope you feel better. Try to have fun with TTC for the first few cycles at least, but I hope you get your BFP soon. Lots of luck.

Don't underestimate the power of your natural hormones. I definitely noticed a difference going off bcp but it turned out I had a more serious condition, Pcos which the bcp masked. I'd mention it to your gyn but hopefully it's just coincidental.

Re: side effects of going OFF the pill?
I felt cranky, bloated, and AF was def. heavier. I def. feel like it was my body adjusting to the hormones.

I noticed a difference when I went off the pill back in 01. I had a sudden weight loss, less bloat, but AF did come heavier and has been ever since. I then developed acne for the first time in my life a month after going off it.
