Please explain the hype of BB cream??

I don't know what it is exactly but I see it advertised everywhere. Is it any good?

It depends on a lot of things. Your skin type, the cream itself, etc

I happen to have very bad skin and normal foundations -especially mineral powders like Bare Minerals- tend to just accentuate my HUGE pores, fine lines, acne scars etc

I tried Garnier BB cream and fell in love. It gives me a new skin almost.
Doesn't sink in and just color my pores and imperfections

I tried other BB creams and they didn't work for me.

Other people say Garnier is too greasy for them and looks too shiney.

So it's all a matter of preference.

In general, a BB cream is very similar to a tinted moisturizer

I have not tried any yet, and not sure if I will, but I hear it's a hyped up version of tinted moisturizer. I don't like layering a lot of product on my face, so I may just forego this trend, but I admit I am intrigued.

I've been wondering the same thing!

So its a tinted moisturizer.. do you use it and then put on foundation, or is that all you use?
if so, is it thick enough to give long lasting coverage?

tried BB cream, hated it. Left me with a grey washed out complexion. (I do use LM tinted moisturizer in the winter).

When I returned the BB to Sephora, the sales associate said most BB creams have a grey tint and don't work that well with olive tones (which I have). It has pretty thick coverage. You use it as a foundation, not in addition too.

for minimizing the appearance of pores, I would recommend POREfessional by Benefit.

I got a free sample with Sephora rewards and I love it. I use a little in my T zone, it goes on silky smooth and it definitely minimizes pores and evens out my complexion.

I love it!

It is simply a tinted moisturizer, nothing crazy...but it makes a different in my complexion. It evens it out and gives me a subtle glow..i don't go overboard with it, and i will sometimes brush a bit of powder over my forehead quickly but thats about it.

I am pale, and my skin had been so dry and blotchy looking. I decided to try it and personally love it. But i know others have mixed experiences. It's not $$, about $11 or so for a bottle so it was worth it for me to try! So happy I tried it!

what is "BB" cream?

I have been using the Garnier tinited moisturizer and it is really fabulous......
I'm not a fan of alot of 'stuff' on my face and this completely evens out my skin with zero effort

I got a sample of Loreal's in a magazine and love it. It covers my uneven tones better than anything I've tried.

I buy it at Target for $8.00.

I tried the garnier one after reading reviews on here and did not like it. It was way too greasy

I have wanting to buy the skin79 bb based on all the rave reviews that I have read. Glad to hear that you also love it. I tried the Garnier BB and HATED it. I have oily skin and it made my skin even more oilier. I returned it.

I just recently bought the trial back of skin79 because I couldn't decide which one would work best and I LOVE it! I got this one tester set

Plan on getting either the pink or the gold in full size. Still can't decide because they are both great!
