Luteal phase help?

Hi ladies..

After I saw a post on this earlier, I went and tried to see what mine was, but I am getting confused.

I got AF on 10/7 (CD 1) and then I got a smiley on October 17th (cd 11) not sure when I ovulated exactly, maybe that Thurs/Fri/Sat? When i put this into a calculator, it's telling me that my LP is shorter than normal?

The last couple of months I have had 28-day cycles and I also started taking synthroid (sp?) for my thyroid in early Aug. The month prior, I got my PD on Sept. 10th, but I didn't use an OPK, so not sure when I O"d?

Should I be concerned that it's saying it's too short? I've been testing by a RE and had uterine surgery in July... just wondering if there is something off or if I am not calculating correctly?

BTW-got smiley last weds-we BD that morning, Thurs, Fri, but couldn't on Sat-hope I didn't miss it!

Your post is a little confusing, but I'll try to help you as best as possible.

If you got your smiley on CD17, then you likely Oed on CD18 (not sure what day of the week this is, since you didn't state what day CD 17 was). You can't know how long your LP is until you get your next AF. If you Oed on CD18, you'll likely get AF anytime from CD28-32. As long as this is the case, your LP is fine. Anything shorter than 10 days and then you might want to talk to your dr. 14 days is average, but not everyone has a 14 day LP. Mine was 10 days, which is on the shorter side, but I was still able to get pg.

Ok, if you got your smiley on Oct 17, then you likely Oed on the 18th or 19th. Assuming a 28-day cycle, then your LP is totally normal.
