diaper cake
I was thinking of doing this for a friend, but then wondered if people would really use the diapers considering they are touched and rubberbanded etc.
just wondering your thoughts
edit - if anyone has tips for making one, please share

My Aunt made one for me and I used every single diaper. It was great because she used Newborn, Size 1 and Size 2 so I had a good variety.

I only WISH someone would have made me one!!! I actually didn't get ANY diapers at all at my shower... Not a single one... Boxed or not

My mom made every single CP at my shower a diaper cake and didn't use any glue, etc so that I could use the diapers afterwards. And we sure did! All 540 of them!

I am a HUGE germaphobe and I used every last diaper from my diaper cake, handled, rolled, rubber-banded and all! I say go for it, I was SO happy that someone (and not even a super close friend!) made me one, I didn't think I would be getting one. I say go for it!

I absolutely used them! I don't see any issue since the diapers are folded closed when they come out of the package, so no ones touching the inner part of the diaper at all.

I got two with DS and I hated it. My sister made a really nice one but its a pain to take it apart and the diapers are normally not the best diapers....
With that said I used every last one. I just didnt like taking it apart. It also had some great toys, bibs and other items on it.

My aunt made me an awesome one all made out of pampers, and every tier was wrapped in a burp cloth or receiving blanket or something so it really looked like a cake. She also put all these little things on it like pacifiers, little bath toys etc. She put size newborn and size 1 diapers in it so I intend to use them all.

I make them all the time for showers and stuff. I even have started a business doing it. Majority of the people have used the diapers..the only reason a few people didnt use them was because it was "too cute" to take apart!

thanks for the insight ladies...i decided to make it this weekend and loved it! It was SO easy - i thought it would take long, but i literally had it done in about 20 minutes. i would have liked to make it an additional tier larger, but i ran out of diapers
i picked a few gifts my friend registered for and added them to the cake.....i am debating on taking the teething rings off the top and replacing with a stuffed animal but for now here are some pics
