Potty training questions
My granddaughter has been potty training for the past week or so. She has a small potty that my daughter leaves usually in the living room where she spends alot of time. We leave her without a diaper (no pants either) and she's been REALLY good about peeing on the potty. She's excited and happy each time. We still put a diaper on her when we go out of the house and she wears one during naps & bedtime. What did you do? When you were just starting to potty train? Did you use pullups when you left the house? Did you use them during naps & bedtime? She doesn't say she has to go, she just sits on the potty and GOES. This morning she told my daughter she peed and when my daughter checked, she had pooped too! for the first time. When she is at my house I bring her little potty here so she feels comfortable and she's been really good. No accidents on the floor or anything in the last week.

Re: Potty training questions
I didn't want to confuse my kids, so I never put a diaper on when we went out. I made them pee before leaving and limited liquids one hour before. For naps and bedtime, I just slipped a diaper on after they fell asleep so they didn't know it was there.

I did the same with the exception that if we were going on a long drive than i would put a diaper on. For sleep time, the first week, I would put a diaper but come the second week, I made sure she drank her milk 1 hour before bedtime and made sure she pee'd before going to bed. She never has had an accident and there are times where she gets up around 4am, wakes me up and goes to the bathroom.

Re: Potty training questions
My dd potty trained with no pull-ups during the day or in the car. She peed before we left and I have a portable potty seat in the car just in case which we have used on more than one occasion . She wears pull-ups for naps and bedtime still but is inconsistent with being dry in the morning. She still sleeps in a crib.
