Strange question about GD
Is it possible this is something that can go away?
I only ask because in the beginning my meal numbers were high. I made diet adjustments and then they were in the 120 range. With no changes they are coming up in the 100 range.
I just went to the cheesecake factory and had a cobb salad and a low carb cheesecake (I only ate half cause I was afraid) and it was 97 which seems quite low to me.
In the past few days I haven't had anything higher than 110 after meals
I tested the thing with the control solution and it came up normal, so I'm just curious. I was expecting it to go higher as pregnancy progressed...

Re: Strange question about GD
Usually the GD reaches a peak and towards the end of your pregnancy it can go away. By the time I had my DD I didn't have GD. In fact, in my last few weeks I was basically hypoglycemic. My sugars were dropping out constantly and I had to be careful with my insulin dosages because I would have numbers in the low 60's AFTER meals and I would start to get shaky and dizzy. It was crazy.
How far along are you?

That's right around when my GD started getting funky and things started changing. I delivered my DD at 39 wks. Just keep a close eye on yourself, eat some extra carbs if you need to, add some more snacks. You'll know if your sugars drop too low, you will feel verrrry weird. I was actually thrilled when it all started changing because I didn't need to be restrictive anymore with my food, it was kind of nice. Feel good!!!
