If you take your own holiday pictures early...
What do you use for a background or backdrop? I would love to take them early and get them out of the way, but obviously won't have the tree up or the house decorated for Christmas for a while. Just curious what everyone who does them early uses for a background. Thanks!

One year I went to a fabric wholesaler (in Bohemia on Rte 454) and purchased one large piece of plain ivory fabric and one of a holiday plaid. I used them as backdrops.

I just did mine out in the backyard. No holiday backdrops or anything. Just her in a holiday dress and I had some props like a gift box, a wagon that I decorated, etc

Last year I taped some Christmas wrapping paper to the wall behind DS. Worked great.

I put up my tree and decorate Thanksgiving weekend so I do DD's pics after that and quickly upload them to Shutterfly. I usually have my cards out the 2nd week in Dec.
ETA - Ooops...........just realized your post said "early". Sorry, guess I am not early, I'm more "just in time".

Re: If you take your own holiday pictures early...
We were getting our Christmas stuff out early 2 years ago and I decided to do her pics.
I wrapped up some boxes of different sizes, and I used my tree skirt as the backdrop. It came out great after a little cropping. People were like how did you that, what did you use etc.
