Scheduled c-section - hospital bag?
What do I need to pack? I had my DD via c-section 5+ years ago and I remember very little!
I'm particularly unsure about the clothes side of things. I have 1 pair of pajamas for now - do I need more? Anything else I may not be thinking of?? I'm scheduled for THIS Friday, so I really need to get packing!!
Thanks!!

Re: Scheduled c-section - hospital bag?
Yay that's my birthday!!
I have 4 shirts and 3 pairs of pants. I plan to have dh wash stuff after 2 days or so depending in if i need it. Im probably just staying in the same outfit for a day like a pig because I'm not doing much lol. I think I have 4 pairs of underwear, bras, travel toiletries like powder, toothpaste, toothbrush, moisturizer, face wash, minimal makeup, chap stick, boppy, coming home outfits (dh might bring later), camera and charger, phone charger(will pack) and a brush (will pack). Oh and some snacks. I have one small bag. Nothing much.

Scheduled c-section - hospital bag?
Im having a schedule csection next week too and I basically packed what the previous poster packed. A few pairs of yoga pants and tank tops, a robe, nursing bras, socks, slippers, and and a few pairs of high waisted granny panties (at the suggestion of my midwife - cant wait to wear those ). Also toiletries, snacks, phone and charger, a couple outfits for the baby, and I'll probably bring a sweatshirt, toothbrush, blanket, and pillow for DH because he wants to stay over night with me.

Re: Scheduled c-section - hospital bag?
Everything above is great. I def. agree with the others especially on the robe and granny panties! I actually wore tight fitting boy shorts- spandex ones that held me in. I stayed in the hospital gown for the first day and a half, had a catheter so I wasn't getting up or changing clothes!
To the list I'd add Towel Flip flops for shower Travel size shower stuff- shampoo, etc Maxi pads
I had an emergency c-sec and literally had my Mom shopping at Target for nursing bras, yoga pants and undies!

Are the towels as bad as everyone says? I was planning on using their pads. Should I bring my own overnight ones?

Re: Scheduled c-section - hospital bag?
One thing to think about is not to pack too much - I had a carry on sized suitcase with me (I don't know where the hell I thought I was going) and it was way too much. Plus it was heavy and I couldn't lift it to pick out what I wanted to wear.
I would skip the underwear - the mesh ones are really the best. The first day after my csection I didnt change or get out of bed because I had really bad pre-e after the baby and was on magnesium and was sent back to labor and delivery even though I already had the baby. I actually didn't mind the gown. I brought nursing tanks, yoga pants and comfy shirts. Definitely bring a pair of flip flops for the shower and walking around the hallway.

I was at LIJ and I thought the towels and pads were fine. They showed me to use one of the chucks - fold it long ways and then put two pads on it. It worked perfectly!

Re: Scheduled c-section - hospital bag?
I had a C, unplanned, so I packed for a regular delivery. Needless to say the only thing I really used was socks, flip flops, chargers, glasses/contacts, toothbrush, and 1 change of clothes for the last day. I stayed in the gowns and used their mesh undies and pads, I thought they were comfy.
