car seat inspection question

We are going to have 3 bases- one in my car, one in DH's and one in my mom's. Do we bring every car to get inspected? Or just the one the baby is coming home in so we know it was done right and can put the others in accordingly?

Re: car seat inspection question

We have 2 in each car and im sure my mom will put some in her car later. We are just getting them all inspected at once. Just to be sure they are in right. Different cars work differently. I think dh has latch system but I don't think I do.

I never had any of mine inspected. Follow the directions and make sure they are in tight. It's not that difficult

Re: car seat inspection question

We have two, but both seats were inspected. It took 15 minutes, it was free, and I knew my baby was safe. Totally worth it IMO. The directions might not look that complicated, but you'd be surprised how many seats wind up getting installed incorrectly.

I'm only gonna get inspected if I can't figure it out. I'm scared I won't be able to figure it out lol

I'd do them all...the statistics say that 90% are installed incorrectly so that means most ppl who think they're in right, actually are not!!

Like PP said, it's free, and takes literally 10 mins. Well worth it!

car seat inspection question

I am usually good at putting things together, following directions and I was reallly confused with the convertable seat. I admit I didn't even attempt the infant seat becuase we were planning to have it installed. DH tried to install the second base in his car after being shown how to do the first one and it still was wrong. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't make the seat not slide side to side. We wound up having that one checked and fixed also. I would really recommend having it done, it's quick, free and you know the baby is as safe as possible.
