BBT Stress
So This is my first month of charting. I also have been using opks for the past 6 months . I joined fertility friend last night and I have imputed all of my data since this cycle. AF came 8/31 and is expected to return 9/28. I had gotten a Positive OPK on 9/11 (cd12) . As of last night fertility friend predicted that I ovulated on 9/13 (cd14) which sounds about right according to my positive opk, temps, cm etc. Now this morning I get a temperature reading that moved the whole chart!!!!!! Its predicting that I now Ovulated on 9/17 now!!! (cd18) How is that possible??? Am I doing something wrong???? and will the chart shift again if I get another strange temp????? I'm so confused!!! Can the times of temp. taking affect the chart. I've been pretty good with the times but there are some differences of and hour here and there....will that one hour make a BIG difference???? And Fertility friend is moving AF to arrive on 10/2 which is also strange

Re: BBT Stress
one hour can definitely make a difference when you're charting. Basically it makes the difference of about 0.3 degrees F, which can shift your chart significantly.
The whole thing with ovulation is that you have to have 3 days of sustained higher temps after a shift to confirm ovulation. If you want, you can adjust your BBT for the days you took it at diff times and get a better idea of where you're at by going here and getting the predicted values. CLICK
Good luck!

Re: BBT Stress
So I just filled in some more information to my chart and it moved it back to the original way. I guess every little detail counts on charting...I feel a bit better now I thought all that was for nothing this cycle
