Temping
Today is my first day ever temping. I took my temp this morning and it read 97.35. On the chart I would put it in as 97.4? I'm going to try the chart in the back of Taking Charge of your Fertility.
Also, we slept with the window open and I had the thermometer on my nightstand cuz I knew when DH got up for work at 5:30 I would be up as opposed to my normal 7:00 alarm. Anyway, the thermometer was a little cold, will this effect my reading?
Anything else I should be aware of?
Thanks!

Re: Temping
Your thermometer reads your body temperature, not the room temperature. I wouldn't worry.

Re: Temping
what site are you using to record your temps? i recommend fertility friend. that site you can enter up to the 100th degree, so no rounding necessary.
also make sure you take your temp at the same time each morning.

I agree on everything said here. I had a basal thermometer that only read to the tenth degree instead of the hundredth and I got the same temp pretty much everyday. Once I switched to a different thermometer, my chart looked like an actual BBT chart b/c it really pinpointed the specific temps.

Honestly, I would temp vaginally. It's so much more accurate
