A good quote from MJ Fox
Watching and earlier episode of Ellen where Michael J Fox was a guest. She was asking about his illness and he said he always tells his kids
'If you imagine the worst case scenario and it happens, then you've lived it twice.'
I thought it was a powerful statement and words to live by during the IVF and other life journeys.

I feel like an idiot, but I don't get it. 
ETA: I mean, I get what it means, but I'm not getting how it's inspirational in terms of his illness and/or IF.

You're not an idiot!! After I made thepost I realized I could have prefaced it better but I never got around to fixing it. He was saying there is no use in worrying about bad things that may happen because then you worried once and you experienced it once so you nearly lived the bad experience twice. He was encouraging people to stay positive and deal with the negative if or when it happens. HTH!

Oooh! Because his kids spend a lot of time worrying about losing their father and he doesn't want them to do that. Here we spend a lot of time worrying about...welll...too many things to list!
