2 car seat questions...
I ordered the grace Jacqueline which is taupe and pink. Kinda girly. Should I have just gotten a black/ gender neutral one?
Also, do they make pads or can you put towels under the bases on leather seats to protect them? Or will this make it unsafe. The carseats will be next week so DH will install bases and have them inspected and I'm sure they will tell us. I just song want to put anything under if it's not safe.

We bought this car seat cover

I have heard that putting anything in between the seat and car seat is dangerous but we took a class with a certified car seat inspector and she said it was fine. It's pretty thin and I'm comfortable having it in the car with the car seat.

You can and should use shelf liner under the carseat. It is safe and helps protect the leather on your seat and it prevents the carseat from sliding on the leather.

Interesting. My car seat installer told me not to use a protector, so we didn't. I've got nothing between the seat and the car seat (give or take a few smushed Cheerios).
To the OP - check the car seat manual and see what it has to say re: aftermarket products?
eta: I got a gender-neutral car seat b/c I knew I wanted more than one child and wanted to make sure my large items were reusable if we had a boy someday. If you're done after your twins, go for the girly stuff!!
