snugride 30 or 35 and why?!
Can you share why too?
I put the 30 on my registry cause I heard the 35 is heavier and they generally don't out grow the 30... but I am second guessing that thought!

I got the 30 because I think that is a more than sufficient weight limit for a carrier. My DD was in the original one (I think the weight limit is 22 lbs?) and she was out of it by 7 mos. (well before the limit) because I just couldn't carry it anymore.

i got the 30 - i actually got a travel system and that's what it came with but honestly, the 30 is plenty big.

Re: snugride 30 or 35 and why?!
Go for the smallest one. My ds is two and is only 24 lbs. we had the smallest Graco for ds1 and the Graco safe seat for my 6 month old because it was given to us. It's the same as the 35 and the thing is heavy even without the baby in it. Ds 2 is a chunked so it was so difficult for me to carry him around in it. Both of my boys hated the infant seat around five months, would scream in the car making driving impossible. I switched both to the Britax convertible at five months and they did so much better. It just stinks having to wake up the baby when he falls asleep in the car because in the infant seat you can just pop him out and leave him in it.

snugride 30 or 35 and why?!
I am a huge advocate for the smallest car seat because at a certain point a convertible one is just so much more comfortable for them. My dd is 2.5 and still only 27 pounds. I could never imagine having her in her infant carrier still! My ds is 10 months and 21lbs. He stopped liking the small infant seat at 5 months or so. IMHO the real savings is in a conv. car seat that is rf to 40lbs and ff up to 65 or 70lbs.

dont get the 35. you will never carry a 35lb child in the 35. why carry something bigger and bulkier? Chances are, you really only need the 22 and that will be the most comfortable for you to transport.

We registered for and received the 35, but we are exchanging it for the 30. It's cheaper and I know I'll never carry two 35 lb babies plus the 10lb weight of the carrier. There is also a length limit too that they might exceed before the weight and they might not fit in the snap n go stroller for that long because of the height too.

snugride 30 or 35 and why?!
My DS outgrew his 22 by height before weight!! It was too heavy for me to carry all the time then, and he was about 18-19 lbs. I wound up leaving it in the car and taking him out at that point unless he was sleeping. I would get the smallest one you can (which I think now is the 30 anyway)

30.
I would never be able to carry the infant carrier with a 35 lb. baby in it, plus the weight of the carrier itself.
Also, my DS would have outgrown the length limit long before 30 lbs.

I would never get thte 35. I bought the even smaller one....only goes to 20 I think. DS is 9 months and is only 18lbs. You will never carry your child at 30 or 35 lbs.
and an FYI the larger ones do not fit in all booths in restaurants.

I wouldn't get the bigger one, you aren't going to carry around a 30lb baby in a car seat. Once my DD hit 15 lbs I didn't even take it out of the car anymore, just left the seat in the base and took her in and out.

I would get the 30. My DS is 20-21lbs and it is really hard for me to lift that seat in and out of the car because it is so heavy. I could never imagine carrying a 35lbs baby in that thing. In fact, I am switching to the convertible this weekend because it is just too heavy for me.

I registered for the 35 but after seeing everyone's responses I think I'm going to change it.
