How to figure out when you're ovulating...
So last month, I had an almost 40 day cycle. How do I figure out when I will O? I'm not ready to turn to OPKs yet. I'm not even sure if this cycle will be 40 days again.
What do you think?

Have you tried charting your basal temps?

I'm too lazy for that... haha. I don't want to rely on that just yet because I know how unreliable I would be in taking my temp at the same exact time every morning.

If you don't want to use OPKs, I'd probably BD every other day (every 3 days at most), beginning on your CD 15, or even earlier. With such a long cycle, though, this could mean a lot of BDing.
I'd begin tracking your cycle so you can see if you get a pattern (i.e. 35-40 days cycles vs 40-45 day cycles.). Then, once you know, you can assume you will O approximately 14 days before your next expected AF.

If you are worried about your long cycles, I have found Vitex (a vitamin/supplement) to be extremely helpful in regulating my cycles. You can buy it almost anywhere, GNC, whole foods, any vitamin store. You take it CD1 til you O. It should help you get back on track. Good luck.
