My cycle is cancelled

Hi everyone,

I am new to this site and I live in Massachusetts. A friend of mine from Long Island told me about this site and how great it is. Anyways. started IVF on Monday 9/10 (Menopur and Gonal F). I was at my 2nd ultrasound on Sunday (9/16) when the doctor told me that one of my follicles was measuring to big and I needed to cancel my cycle. I am very upset and hoping someone can relate to this post? Hoping there is someone out there that can relate?

I have multiple canceled cycles (a transfer from my 2nd IVF ... 2 surrogate cycles... ) It STINKS!! I found what always helps me is making a plan to move forward. Knowing what my next step is always makes me feel more in control of the situation.

Thanks for your quick response. I guess I want to hear that others have gone through the same thing. I don't know anyone close to me that has done IVF so I have no one that I can talk to about it. What happened after your cancelled cycle?

I have had a zillion cancelled cycles. they have been cancelled for a zillion different reasons. Poor responding, ovulating while on BCP , poor lining, etc. Sometimes I would have a lead follicle that grew faster than the others but they usually were able to tweak my meds to get other follicles to catch up (even if we lost that big one). While it is hard sometimes you just have to accept that our bodies dont always cooperate with our plans (hence this damn IF journey to begin with) and just look forward and move on to the next cycle.
