How much does your 5 month old eat?
DS is 5 months old today and just started solids 2 weeks ago. He's a big boy and eats a lot as it is. I don't want to overfeed him because I feel like his appetite is unending and I don't want to start any bad habits. Of course I want him to get enough as well.
Right now he gets 5 bottles/day - 2 six oz bottles and 3 eight oz bottles - along with 2 oz of fruit in the AM with 1 oz of oatmeal and 2 oz of veggies in the PM.
Daycare was telling me he was gobbling up his solids and looking for more. I thought they were exaggerating but I saw him eat this afternoon and he wolfed it down  . I'm hesitant to give more because it seems like a lot and he's not crying after he eats or anything. How much do you feed your 5 month old? Thanks!

My DS is just about to turn 6 months and I just started solids yesturday. I pretty much have stopped BF, but might do it once a day or he may get one pumped bottle.
He gets five 6oz bottles a day or 4 6oz bottles and one nursing session.
So far he had 2 tbsp of pears once a day today and yesturday.

My ds is 4 and a half months and averages 30oz a day give or take. Not on any solids yet but your oz a day sounds right. Btw ds is about 17 pounds lol

DS will be 6 months on the 22nd. His diet has been pretty much the same since 5 months though.....
(4) 8 oz bottles with 1 tsp of oatmeal in each of them
(1) 2.5 oz serving of fruit in the AM - sometimes mixed with oatmeal (most of the time not though)
(1) 2.5 oz serving of veggie in the PM

I don't think you can overfeed a baby. Don't worry if he gets more plump,...he's a baby! And he'll lose it once he's mobile. If he is finishing and looking for more, i'd say give more until he refuses. That's what I did with my DD, who somehow dropped from 50% to about 20% once she started walking and became crazy fast...DS is 4 months and eats non stop and I let him eat what he wants. He's averaging 33 ounces a day and I just started solids.

How much does your 5 month old eat?
My Dr always said NEVER go over 32 oz a day with formula/milk. I would say that boy is hungry & start increasing the oatmeal & if he doesn't want milk, he wont drink it.

DS gets 5 6oz bottles
AM Cereal with a jar of fruit
Veg in the PM
And cereal with fruit before bed.
He is a big hungry baby. He will stop eating when he is full.
