anyone's stitches fall out after giving birth?
i just found a stitch from my tear--i only had one stitch this time! and i saw a stitch on my pad tonight---im having no luck recovering from this pregnancy!
has this happened to any of you? i will prob go to my dr. tomorrow-don't want an infection...

anyone's stitches fall out after giving birth?
My OB used dissolvable stitches, so they would come out over time when no longer needed. I will spare you the details as it was really nasty, but they did come out after a few days.

I think mine were supposed to. When I went to my 6 weeks check up my OB said that my stitches didn't dissolve, so he had to remove them.

Ditto. I actually still had one left when I went for my 6 week appt. which is why I was still experiencing some discomfort.

I imagine I had many stitches but I never noticed any of them come out. I was pretty terrified of that area for several months so I certainly wasn't checking for anything.

My dr said that was normal.
The stitches come out on their own- they don't need to be removed

mr dr used disposable. I just never looked in the toilet.
