1.when did u take the hospital tour? i was thinking 30 weeks?

anyone delivering at lij,did u have to make a appt?


2.when did you pack your hospital bag?

also when i pack pj's/comfy clothes....is it just lounge pants and a comfy top or actually pj's?

and how many?1 for each night right?

3.when did u interview your pediatrician?

I took the tour around 20-25 weeks. When you are much bigger you aren't going to want to walk around there... Most places want you to tell them you are coming. The tours aren't everyday. they are once or twice a week. Sometimes less.

I packed two pairs of comfy paints, three nursing tanks, a hoodie, slippers and a robe. I didnt use the robe though.


I interviewed the ped. around 20-25 weeks as well...

i'm doing the hospital tour next week at 33 weeks at NSUH...i would have liked to have done it earlier but you had to make an appoinment and they were booked so i was lucky i got in next week

i started packing my bag already just incase something happens i would hate to rely on my husband to pack the clothes i want..lol

i did not interview any peds..im just going based upon friends recomendations and figure if i dont like them i could switch

I didn't take a tour

I packed my bag at 33w6days...right before I went to the hospital to have the kids. Yeah should have done it sooner

I packed both pjs and yoga pants etc. I was more comfortable wearing the yoga pants etc since I was walking back and forth to the NICU etc I felt silly in my pjs

I didn't get changed the first or second day. I was on magnesium and wasn't allowed out of bed. I finally put clothes on late the second night. After that I changed and showered every day.

1.when did u take the hospital tour? i was thinking 30 weeks? I never took the tour. I ended up in L&D with cotrax at 26 weeks and saw how everything was run, so I never bothered with the tour.



2.when did you pack your hospital bag? I started probably around 26 weeks or so, I bought some toiletry stuff and some nursing tanks.

also when i pack pj's/comfy clothes....is it just lounge pants and a comfy top or actually pj's? I used XL PJ pants (with a draw string) from Kohl's, nursing tanks and hoodies.

and how many?1 for each night right? I had a vaginal delivery on a Monday and was in the hospital gown that day. Changed into my clothes tuesday morning and another set for going home on Wednesday.

3.when did u interview your pediatrician? I never did. M sister had a baby a couple months before me and she raved about the pediatrician so I just used hers.

We are taking our hospital tour this weekend at 35 weeks, but we already gave birth there once so it's a "refresher" tour. First pregnancy, we took it around 34 weeks during our L&D class (which ran from 32-36 weeks).

Had my bag packed the first time by 34 weeks. Gotta work on that now (I'm 35 weeks on Saturday). My mom gave birth at 34.5 weeks and 35.5 weeks to my brother and me so I wanted to be ready early. This time I'm being lazy... but after tonight I think I'd better get moving.

I packed drawstring sweat pants that were non maternity but fit during pregnancy too. Plan to pack the same. I stayed in the hospital gown the entire stay at the hospital and just wore them home. I didn't want to bloody up anything besides what the hospital gave me, but I also only had 3 visitors my entire stay. You definitely want something that won't lean on your cs.

I went to a tour of my ped's office and a q&a session for new parents around 35 or 36 weeks. It was run by the head nurse who is also the LC there. We didn't actually interview the peds themselves but got a good feeling for the practice and a tour of it that way. They ran them every few weeks so I picked the most convenient to check them out.

Since you're having twins, I'd say do everything sooner than later. The only thing about packing the hospital bag is then you don't have that stuff to use! That's what has me hemming and hawing at it this pregnancy... I like wearing those comfy pants and am not ready to take them out of circulation!

I did all of these things in the 33-36 week range! But you may want to do sooner since you're having twins.

WE WERE SCHEDULED TO TAKE THE TOUR ON THE DAY I GAVE BIRTH TO DD

I DELIVERED AT NSUH AND NEEDED AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE TOUR - I THINK LIJ & NSUH HAVE SIMILAR POLICIES

I BROUGHT BOTH - COMFY CLOTHES AND PJ'S.

I WAS THERE FOR 2 NIGHTS. I PACKED 1 OUTFIT FOR EACH DAY AND JUST 1 SET OF PJ'S

WE STARTED AROUND 30/32 WEEKS

We took the tour around 30 weeks and i have to say it was not fun because my back was hurting since we were walking and standing for an hour.

I packed my bag at 36 weeks

I received 2 nursing nightgowns from my shower so i have those two and some depends (so i dont ruin my undies)

we have to interview our pediatrician soon i've been asking for referrals and we're a little late

Never did tour, figured no reason too and there wasnt,lol.
