Dr. Palter?
I have an appt to see Dr. Palter next week for the first time and I was wondering if anyone could offer a review of him and his practice. I have heard he is not warm and fuzzy but I just want a good doctor who will help me get pregnant!

I went there for a consult only so I don't know how there office runs as far as monitoring hours. I didn't have to wait long to see him and the PA I met with first was nice. As far as him, I did not like him and chose another doctor. I had muliple consults set up.

I don't know Dr. Palter, but I will offer this advice. When looking for your RE, you want a warm and fuzzy dr with great bedside manners who can also help you to get pregnant.
This is a really emotional journey for many of us and you want someone who will be understanding and patient with you. There are days I'd just call my RE crying and frustrated. My RE would get on the phone and talk to me and reassure me. He didn't brush me off to some nurse or minimize my feelings.
When I did get pregnant, my RE was genuinely happy for me. The nurse gave me a hug when I was released to my OB. And my RE said I could come back to see him if I was ever nervous or not getting the right attention from my OB.
I honestly think that choosing your RE is one of the most important decisions in the IF journey. Don't settle.
