Those who BF beyond a year

When did you introduce milk (dairy or soy/almond/etc. (whatever the case may be))? DD turned one about two weeks ago and is still nursing 4-5 times a day. I am assuming that milk would replace a few nursing sessions, but I know this is going to be a hard sell because DD loves BFing (and we can't do dairy, so not sure how she is going to feel about almond milk). I don't want to push her, but I also want to make sure her nutritional needs are all met.

TIA!

I tried to give DS(17 months) milk a few times at 12 months and he hated it. So I am holding off for a bit longer. He still nurses a ton so I am not worried about pushing milk yet.

I work part time so both my kids started a bit early, around 11 mo while i was at work so i didn't have to pump. But we went straight to cow's milk, with no allergies.
But at this point she should be eating 3 meals a day, so even if you weren't BFing she should have all her nutritional needs met.
It can't hurt to offer that cup of almond milk and see how it goes. We always acted nonchalant about it, and both boys transitioned fine. And trust me, they loved their boob!
My first one weaned at 15 mo, and my second one is 16 mo and still nursing more than I'd like. lol.

I started offering milk at a year old but he wasn't crazy about it (still isn't at 2.5 years old). I wasn't worried though because he was getting calcium from other sources like cheese and yogurt.
