Some of them are sooooo big! Do you think the travel size one would have the same effect as the regular one??

I know, they are huge! We're in a one bedroom apartment and there was no way I was fitting one of those swings in there! I registered for the Comfort & Harmony Portable Swing: Image Attachment(s):

Re: swings?
The only issue with travel ones is that they don't plug in and go through a ton of batteries. We were going to register for one of each so we could bring it to our parents on visits but decided against it.

We used a travel one with DS and we didnt have any issues.
They dont plug in but we didnt really go throught that many batteries. Maybe we didnt use ours as much as others. But no complaints.

We got the same one. Haven't been able to try itsince our LO isn't here yet but we're hoping it works ok since we really don't want to be tripping over a huge swing in our little house.

We have this one in our living room. Doesn't bother me that it doesn't plug in. It's not like we have her in it all day everyday.
Oh and she likes it

Re: swings?
It was ok in the beginning at my parent's house, but my DS was a very big baby, and it didn't seem to have enough power to get him into a full swinging motion. I think he got too heavy for it after a while!
Eventually we got a full size swing for my parent's house since he was in it a lot.

This is the one I had for DS and plan on using again for dc3. I never had a problem with the batteries. I replaced them once. But I didn't use it all the time. Maybe 30-45 min a day until he was 4-5 months old.

Re: swings?
our son slept in the swing, in motion for the first 2 months 8 hours straight through the night so we would have devoured batteries.
if you use it daily you drain them! worth it to find one that plugs in so you don't have to worry about it.

Re: swings?
we were in a 1b and pressed for space but this one didnt take up more space than a travel one . it was worth every penny. the seat comes off and you can snap in your graco car seat. also the seat can be used as a floor sear. Grace sweetpeace swing

Re: swings?
We didn't register for a swing because honestly there isn't enough room in our house for one. I registered for a bouncer instead.

We live in a small apartment and we registered for this swing in elephanta from babies r us. All of the other swings seemed way too big for our living room.

I couldn't have done it without a swing! We had a snug a bunny and a travel for vacation. The travel swing was much slower in speed.DD liked to go fast.

This is what we have, and we have a house! Loved how compact it was, and the timer was great. I think we changed the batteries 2x and we used it for 5 months. Only drawback is that it only swung front to back. Some babies prefer the side-to-side motion better.
