Thanks to everyone for the anniversary trip recommendations! I think DH & I are going to go to New Hope, PA; it looks like a really cute place. I have a couple of questions:
-I see that it's possible to walk from New Hope to New Jersey over a bridge. Is the bridge something that you can drive to, park, and then walk over or do you have to walk to the bridge itself?
-What's your favorite b&b there?
-Has anyone ever done the ghost walk? How was it? DH & I love a good ghost walk!

We love new hope. We go a lot. Didn't get there this summer :(. Our favorite Place to stay is the Woolverton Inn Yes you can walk that bridge. In fact we usually go to dinner at the station in lambertville (awesome food) then walk over the bridge to new hope. Also peddlers village isn't from there as well. Great little shopping area with a cute coffee shop, ice cream shop, bakery and a bunch of little stores.

New Hope is my choice also and as an added attraction Lambertville NJ is just across that. Both are really artistic places and you can walk there on the bridge. Well there are some good restaurants and hotels for more enjoyment during your visit.

we love new hope/lambertville!! we stayed at woolverton in july for our anniversary and last year we stayed at Bowman Inn. i liked woolverton but Bowman Inn was hands down much better. bowman is located on the lambertville side i believe. its a 5 minute drive to all the touristy things. basically the same distance of woolverton to all the touristy spots. we did walk the bridge at night once. it was beautiful! i HIGHLY recmd hamilton grill for dinner. omg it is our fav. so romantic and off the beaten path. i just love that whole area. have a great time!
oh to answer your q, we drove from our bed and breakfast and walked around. our last stay we took a cab at night from our b&b to hamilton grill and walked around as well.
also, bring champagne! its our staple when we go to b&bs! champagne and then we hop in the bath tub.
