Buying clothes for baby
What size do u buy? Do u skip newborn size altogether and hope baby grows into 3 month? Or do u wait until close to your due date to buy? Buy a mix? I know some babies are born big so just curious

Re: Buying clothes for baby
We bought only 2 newborns outfits. If I find something cute on clearance at Marshall's or something I will pick in up in various sizes. I only bought a few outfits. I don't plan on buying much more until after the shower.

Re: Buying clothes for baby
we bought no newborn clothes, and returned any we got. We bought all 0-3 months, 3 months, 3-6 months. My ds was 8lbs at birth and knew he would be on the larger side. Iwould not stock up on anything all too small. At 6 weeks he is starting to outgrow his 3 month clothes now- he is long and lean. Good luck!!

Re: Buying clothes for baby
Just go with 0-3 months in the beginning. My dd was only able to wear her newborn stuff once or twice. She was born 7lbs 4oz. They grow out of stuff so fast.

Re: Buying clothes for baby
I'd buy a newborn take home outfit at least. My brother was 7-11 and 0-3 was huge in him. My mom only got 0-3 since all her kids were over 8 lb and were in them right away.
I got like 4-5 newborn outfits and some nb gowns since I know mine will be under 8 and possibly under 6 or 7 when coming home so they will be in them for a bit. But I bought more 0-3 since I know they will outgrow nb quickly. Then I bought some 6 mo and very few 9 mo since idk when they will be in them.

Buy a mix; there's no way to tell what you'll need or for how long. DD was 6-14 at birth and was in 0-3 clothes for 2 months. My friend's DD was the exact same weight and was in 0-3 for 3 weeks.

Re: Buying clothes for baby
DS was in newborn clothes for not even 2 weeks (he was born at 7lb 15 oz) so i'd stock up on more of 3 months stuff and get a few newborn outfits/pj's

Buying clothes for baby
i would absolutely buy some newborn clothes - esp for take home. unless you want them going home from the hospital in just a diaper or in an outfit that they are absolutely swimming it.
